ASDSO annually honors those individuals and organizations providing exemplary contributions to the improvement of dam safety in the U.S. These awards are given out during the Annual Conference every year. |
Dams create life sustaining benefits to people across the nation. Recreation, energy, water supply, flood control and irrigation, to name a few, are all made possible by dams. Yet, dams can threathen lives, property and economic stability should they fail. ASDSO works to educate the public, especially those living and working around dams, officials developing policy related to development and safety regulation, and the media, which can spread the word about the need for dam safety. |
