Mission and Goals
Also known as the student outreach committee, the CEO strives to harness all available resources for cultivating future leaders in dam safety engineering by:
1. Developing programs for pre-college students, college students and engineering educators that highlight and encourage career opportunities in dam engineering.
2. Working with college and university departments to promote higher education programs, at undergraduate and graduate levels, that increase the number of engineers with training and interest in all aspects of dam engineering and dam safety.
3. Promoting and coordinating activities that increase public awareness of the importance of dams in the US, especially among pre-college and college students and with engineering faculty.
4. Working to increase national support of students and faculty engaged in dam safety research.
