Winners of ASDSO's First Student Paper Competition
Winners of ASDSO's first student paper contest presented their papers in a session entitled "Hear It From the Next Gen." All received $500 awards. Pictured L to R:

ASDSO 2009-2010 Scholarship Winners

ASDSO 2009-2010 ASDSO Undergraduate Scholarship recipient James Woidt was recognized at the Dam Safety 2009 awards banquet.
James, a senior Civil Engineering undergraduate at the University of New Hampshire, is also pursuing a minor in Business Administration. James's experiences include research on a groundwater inflow study and working as an assistant to a regional hydraulic engineer and in a small engineering firm specializing in dam safety. Earlier this year he participated in an engineering exchange with Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, UK. |

The New Jersey/Pennsylvania Council for Safe Dams was pleased to recognize the winner of its first-ever academic scholarship at the 2009 Awards Banquet.
Vinoth Muthia, a senior Civil Engineering and Economics major at Pennsylvania State University, was awarded a $2,500 scholarship for the 2009-2010 school year. An outstanding scholar, Vinoth has interned with the Pennsylvania DEP Dam Safety Program and Gannett Fleming. |
