from regulation 50-year-old watershed dams impounding lakes. The exemption =
will
apply to roughly 60 watershed dams within the next five years. Of the state=

137 watershed dams, 38 have a high-hazard-potential rating. TN DEC proposed
legislation this session that would have required a study of <st1:State w:s=
t=3D"on"><st1:place
 w:st=3D"on">Tennessee</st1:place></st1:State> dams that are exempt from
regulation from the Safe Dams Act. The department wanted to determine how m=
