Dam Safety ’21 is still on in Nashville. We’re looking forward to seeing the 700 plus registrants already signed up to attend in person. The Music City Center in Nashville has implemented safety protocols that have allowed them to hold many successful in-person events over the past several weeks and months. ASDSO, the Music City Center, and ASDSO designated hotels will closely follow these protocols, along with national, state and local guidance, in an effort to prioritize the health and safety of our attendees.

We highly encourage all attendees to review the following protocols and other important information:

  • All attendees and exhibitors are responsible to self-monitor and not attend if ill or directly exposed.
  • We are strongly encouraging all in-person attendees to be vaccinated.
  • We will be strongly encouraging mask-wearing on-site during the conference.
  • We are working with the Music City Center to ensure each meeting room and the exhibit hall is set up with social distancing in mind.
  • The Music City Center is a GBAC (Global Bio-Risk Advisory Council) accredited facility. A facility’s GBAC star rating is achieved through knowing “how to prepare, respond to and recover from infectious disease outbreaks and biohazard situations,” according to GBAC’s website.
  • The Music City Center has increased its routine cleaning practices, and surfaces and bathrooms are now being cleaned hourly. Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the facility.
  • Signage will be placed throughout the convention center reminding people to maintain social distancing, and practice cough etiquette and hand hygiene.
  • Hand sanitizer and masks will be distributed at Dam Safety ’21 registration check-in.
  • ASDSO will provide “I am vaccinated” stickers at the registration desk.
  • Concurrent Session rooms, the General Session room, and the Exhibit Hall will all have separate entrance and exit doors.
  • ASDSO has a designated staff member for anyone to contact during and following the conference regarding contact tracing questions.
  • ASDSO will locate and make available information about local COVID-19 testing sites should participants desire or are required to have testing prior to travel back home.
