Description:

Join us on February 14, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Eastern for Rock Grouting Principles for New and Remedial Dam Projects. This webinar reviews the principles of rock grouting for new and remedial dam projects. Since the mid-1990s, there have been significant developments in rock grouting technology. Although these advances have been largely driven by the challenges of remedial grouting projects – and in particular those in karstic terrains – the developments are being implemented in foundation treatments for new dams also. This webinar reviews contemporary approaches to design, construction, QA/QC, and verification.  These apply to both blanket and curtain grouting applications.

Learning objectives attendees will receive from this course:

  • Appreciation of advances in grouting technology over the last 30 years and establishment of the state of contemporary practice.
  • Establishment of what can be reasonably anticipated from a grouting project
  • Review of the risks which are inherent, especially for remedial grouting.
  • Review of the fundamental aspects of a grouting specification.
  • Review of the typical components of a Bill of Quantities.
  • Procurement of a grouting contractor.
